Description: A cast solid copper alloy Byzantine three ounce weight of Roman date. The object is spherical with a flattened top and bottom. The sides of the sphere appear to have been hammered. On one of these flat ends, is an decoated on the top face with a gamma and an I widely spaced. The gamma and the I are inlaid with a white material, part of which is lost. The diameter is 25.11mm. The object weighs 73.82 grams. A similar example can be seen in Bendall 1996 p. 25.
