Description: Three base sherds, 1 neck sherd and 8 miscellaneous sherds of Roman British (AD 1-410) greyware. Grooves in the underside of the base sherd are likely to be root scars. The fabric is gritty with small micaceous inclusions. The sherds are very abraded and some pieces are burnt, especially the bases. The colour is variable. Possibly some grog inclusions. The base would have had a diameter of 50-80mm. Largest sherd 90x65mm, smallest 15x15mm. Collective weight 189.11g.
