Description: Late Iron Age La Tene III type brooch of copper alloy with a broken pin. The brooch measures 50mm in length and 11mm wide at its widest part across the spring. It weighs 3.2g. Decoration on the bow consists of two single lateral lines made of square punch-marks. Following these the bow narrows to a point at the foot. There is a small catchplate extending 7mm at the back. The pin is broken roughly half way down measuring 24mm in total. The brooch has a smooth green patina. cf. Hattatt, 1989, no.739.
