BUCKLE 184745

Description: A corroded cast copper-alloy single-looped oval medieval buckle frame with offset, narrowed pin bar; the pin is missing. The outer edge is thick (4.3mm) and heavily bevelled externally; their is parallel bevelling on the lower surface. The frame is largely dark green/brown with areas of lighter bronze disease. The artefact has been bent downwards on one of the sides. The form of this frame is undiagnostic and as such a wide date range is offered.
