STRAP FITTING 109508

Description: Medieval copper alloy three piece strap end with sheet spacer. It is 36mm in length and 15mm wide, with a rivet at either end.The end opposite the open end has a knop. Rivets are apparantly in situ, though the one at the open end is broken in the middle.The metal is very dark brown in colour. The strap end weighs 6.24g. 12th-14th century in date.
