BROOCH 101205

Description: A Roman brooch of T-shaped type. The cylindrical side wings are incomplete and have a central U-shaped slot to accommodate the hinged pin (L. 23.14mm). The bow is flat on its reverse and has a slightly convex upper surface. It is D-shaped in section and tapers to the foot (W. 9.25-1.7mm), the tip of which is bent round and broken off. Upper surface of bow is fluted – Three longitudinal grooves and two ridges tapering together at the bottom of the bow. Patchy mid-green patina.
