Description: An undatable (Iron Age to post-medieval, c.700 BC - AD 1800) copper alloy multi-purpose ring, hexagonal and with numerous tooling marks aparent on all faces. It measures 26.7mm in diameter (internal 16.8mm), 3.4mm in thickness and weighs 5.99g. The metal is dark brown/ grey in colour and rather irregularly-shaped, with a casting flash apparent on the outside edge. Rings like these are numerous and would have been multi-purpose, perhaps for hanging keys from a belt, etc.
