Description: Small copper-alloy ring with integral hook. The ring is 18 mm in external diameter, 11 mm in internal diameter, and 3 mm thick; the hook extends the length to 28 mm. The object is relatively flat, with an oval cross-section and filemarks on both faces. The hook tapers a little but has a blunt end. Similar objects have been recovered from late 13th- to mid 15th-century contexts in London (Egan 1998, nos. 131-8), and are tentatively interpreted as curtain rings.
