Description: A copper alloy medieval or post medieval double loop oval buckle dating to the period AD c1350-1650. The buckle frame comprises two ovals which are bevelled on the inside and outside edges. The strap bar is narrowed and slightly recessed. There are notches extending across the frame on both sides for the pin. The wire pin is wrapped round the strap bar and tapers to a point.
