Description: A medieval copper alloy bar-mount from a belt with central and terminal lobes. The one of the terminal lobes is abraded and the rivet is missing, the other is complete. The complete rivet extends out to the reverse, the reverse of the terminal lobes are concave. The central lobe is slightly concave to the reverse and domed to the front and decorated with cross hatching. Similar bar-mounts with central and terminal lobes from London date to the 13th and 14th century (Egan & Pritchard 1991 nos.1154-1162).
The mount is 16.3mm in length, 8.35mm wide, 3.05mm thick and weighs 1.01 grams.
