Description: Complete bronze looped socketed axe. Straight blade. Square-sectioned mouth with rounded corners. Prominent collar at mouth with horizontal moulded ridge below on all sides. Top of side loop joining ridge with irregular casting fault above. Most of ceramic core intact. L: 136 W. mouth: 37.5 B. mouth: 41 Socket dims.: 24.5 x 24 WB. loop: 5-8. Part of a hoard of 68 Armorican socketed axeheads.
