Description: Complete bronze looped socketed axe. Sub-rectangular mouth with rounded corners and two slightly convex sides. Straight blade. Prominent angular collar at mouth, with two close-set horizontal moulded ridges below on all sides. Side loop joins lower ridge. Much of ceramic core intact. Casting flashes along seams. Upper edge of socket finished L: 129 W. mouth: 38 B. mouth: 45.5 Socket dims.: 24 x 26.5 W. loop: 5-6. Part of a hoard of 68 Armorican socketed axeheads.
