Description: Complete bronze looped socketed axe. Straight blade. Square-sectioned mouth, rounded corners. Prominent angular collar at mouth with two close-set moulded horizontal ridges below. Top of side loop joining lower ridge. Casting flashes at seams. Clay core intact. Well-cast.. L: 130 W. mouth: 38.5 W. mouth: 43 Socket dims.: 23-26 W. loop: 5-7.Part of a hoard of 68 Armorican socketed axeheads.
