Description: Fragment, very large bow brooch, Simple Gallic (Ettlinger type 9, Feugere type 14a). Only part of lower bow, foot and catchplate intact. The narrow and tapering bow has a deep teardrop-shaped section. The broad catchplate is perforated with a triangular motif with a square-off extension below a horizontal L-shaped motif. The edge of the catchplate has been folded over along its full length. (width: 1-2mm; breadth: 6-20.5mm)
