BUCKLE 282541

Description: Incomplete Medieval (1100-1500) copper alloy D-shaped buckle frame, missing its axis bar and pin. It has a steeply angled outside edge. It measures 19.09x25.93mm and weighs 5.1g. At either end of the (missing) axis bar is a rounded knop. The frame expands from here, to 8.31mm wide (and 3.59mm thick on the inside edge). The outside edge has three slight depressions, the middle one of which appears to have a worn and broken stump at its centre.
