TOGGLE 255001

Description: Late Iron Age/ Early Roman copper alloy toggle, weighing 6.29g. The toggle consists of a hollow hemispherical dome c.8mm high and slightly squashed on two opposing sides (13.18x10.87mm), with a 3.5mm diameter circular-sectioned bar, 26.08mm long, attached to the open underside. It is likely that this toggle would have been used for fastening bags, clothes or straps.
