Description: A post-medieval sword-belt hanger cast in copper alloy. It consists of a sub-rectangular plate with rounded ends and incurved body below an integral forward and upward projecting mount. Above the mount the plate is slightly set back, as defined by a transverse groove. The sub-oval mount features two integral rivets at its top and bottom; this figure-of eight back-plate these would have held has been lost. The artefact has corroded to a dull brown-orange. Cf.
