HANDAXE 136822

Description: An ovate flint handaxe of Lower Paleolithic date. The implement is bi-facially worked and roughly symmetrical both in plan and profile. The flake removals cover the whole of both surfaces. The patination colour on both faces is variable between a pale buff through to a mid-orange.
