VESSEL 136736
Description: Fragment of late medieval/ early post medieval copper alloy leg from a vessel, probably a ewer given its small size and neat shape.
The fragment consists of the foot - ewer legs usually have a horizontal rib at the ankle, and this one seems to have broken just below. The foot is worn, but it seems also has a vertical rib at its rounded (toe) end.
At the break, the foot is D-shaped in section, being rounded to the front, and 20.2mm wide and 8.8mm thick. The object is 28.2mm in incomplete length and weighs 25.34g. The width expands to 21.6mm at the toe.
