Description: Incomplete copper alloy lug handle from a medieval/ post medieval vessel. It is circular in section and angular in shape, missing just under half of one arm.
Where the handle would have joined the vessel, the surface is extremely smooth to the touch, and is c.26x23mm in diameter.
The handle itself is much rougher to touch and the surface rather black. The section of the surviving arm is c.14mm diameter.
The break, which occurs just below the angled turn, is old and also c.14mm diameter.
The turn itself is rather knobbly and slightly thinner at 12-13mm wide.
Length 68.7mm, weighs 99.75g.
