DRESS HOOK 1061401

Description: Silver-gilt dress hook in the form of a book, rectangular backplate with seven projecting knops along the sides; fleur-de-lis at the point where the recurving hook is soldered onto the backplate. On the front, within a rectangular frame, an impressed heart and 3 indentations above. Front gilded. Bar attachment on reverse now missing; solderb marks show its original position. Length: 1.5 cm. 16th Century.
