HANDAXE 1055306
Description: A Lower Palaeolithic 'crude stone-struck' handaxe. Both faces retain large areas of cortex. The 'ventral' face has probable removal scars from the mid-point to the pointed tip. The 'dorsal' face has invasive stepped removals from the butt (right side). Areas of natural damage to the edges. Very water worn. Orange/beige chert.
