New house, designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield for Henry Bowden-Smith (1835-1925), son of Nathaniel and nephew of Richard and Georgina: 'Henry went to Ceylon with William where they bought land which they called The New Forest, for coffee plantations, but it was a failure'.
