The mount consists of a hemispherical boss, with a flanged rim and hollow reverse; a perforated lug projecting from the circumference, with a further circular perforation through the rim on the opposite edge. The boss is decorated in low relief with a symmetrical running foliate motif, with four equidistant arms, each curving anti-clockwise into a tri-lobed frond, around a central projecting domed-boss at the apex of the overall boss. The flanged rim is deocrated with a repeating pattern of S-shaped punches. Traces of gilding survive.
Dimensions: 40.13mm in length (including tab); 37mm diameter of main body of boss; 10.57g.
