Description: A fragment of a Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch, probably dating to c. AD 50-150. The fragment consists of the lower bow and foot only. The bow tapers into a point, although with a slight projecting foot when viewed in profile. An unperforated catchplate projects from the reverse. Length: 33.2mm; width: 14.5mm; thickness: 1.3mm; weight 1.55g.
