Description: An incomplete copper alloy anthropomorphic sheet metal mount . The mount is in the form of a forward facing, crowned, bearded king's head with the details in relief. The crown is a plain band with a central and side ornaments similar to that seen on Medieval pennies. There is visible hair to one side of the face and defined eyebrows, triangular nose, and lentoid eyes.To the left of the top of the nose is the end of a separately applied circular attachment rivet which is also visible at the rear. The front of the mount is convex and the rear is hollowed with the details of the design seen as recesses.
