Description: Three Roman ceramic sherds; one rim sherd of Oxfordshire red-brown colour coated ware, and two oxidised body sherds of probable Roman date, c. AD 100-410. The rim sherd is of a fine grained oxidised, micaeous fabric, with a slightly reduced core, and occasional ferrous inclusions. From a vessel with an everted rim with a slightly beaded and pinched rim. The two body sherds are of a coarse grained, high fired, oxidised fabric, with reduced core and coarse grit temper. Sherd 1: 4.25g. Sherds 2&3: 8.73g.
