FINGER RING 924909

Description: A complete Roman copper alloy finger ring, probably dating c. AD 250-410. The ring consists of a rectangular sectioned hoop decorated with a series of bevelled notches on alternating edges of the outer face. Dimensions: diameter: 19.6mm; the hoop 1.5mm thick; weight 0.73g. Cf. Crummy (1981: 38-41) nos. 1653 & 1766.
