Description: A medieval English sterling pictorial issue jetton, of either early or late phase (1280-1343; 1345-55), 'star and crescent' type. The jetton is pierced to the reverse but it does not completely pierce the coin and is not evident to the obverse. Reference: Mitchiner 1988 p.109, no.177 and p.117 no.245-7.
