Description: A complete cast copper-alloy medieval mount, dating to the period AD 1100-1500. It is 15.15mm in length (broad end slightly bent), 8.35mm in width, triangular in shape, with the copper-alloy rivet in place. There is a rectangular opening 4.35mm x 1.65mm at the broad end. The rivet is now bent into a hook shape but it is not clear whether or not this is damage. Original length c 7mm. Weight 0.47g.
