Description: An incomplete (approximately half surviving ) medieval cast copper-alloy dagger guard or quillon dating to period c. AD 1200-1400. The surviving end of the aperture is a pointed-oval on the lower face to accommodate the blade. The guard terminates in a conical knop. The fragment measures 36.47 mm long and weighs 6.17g.
