Description: An incomplete copper-alloy late medieval to early post-medieval purse bar, dating to the period c AD 1450 - 1550. It measures 82.25mm in length and at its maximum width, it measures 8.69mm. The purse bar is broadly circular in cross-section, and the width (or diameter) of most of the item is c 5.43mm. There is an old break at both ends of the item, one of them at the point where there was a pierced feature. There are two further U shape integral suspension loops, all approximately 30mm apart along the length of the bar. It weighs 15.19g. Possibly related to WILT-91ED0A
