Description: Copper alloy rectangular buckle with integral rigid plate. The frame is rectangular with a flat reverse and convex upper surface so that it is D-shaped in section (L. 14.75mm. W. 15.09mm. Th. 4.13mm). At the attachment end there is a rigid plate. The plate is offset from the frame and is formed by two conjoined circles each with a central rivet hole with the iron rivets in situ (L. 9.70mm. W. 16.30mm. Th. 4.76mm). The bar has a hole for pin. The pin is thick and is D-shaped section. The pin has been corroded into place (L. 17.27mm. W. 4.87mm). Dark green patina, considerable iron staining.
