STRAP END 83369

Description: Copper alloy collared type composite strap end with forked spacers. The upper and lower plates are formed from sheet copper alloy. The attachment end and sides are straight. At the other end the sides taper at an angle of forty five degrees before turning again to meet forming a short straight edge. There are two rivet holes arranged laterally at the attachment end of the plates with the copper alloy rivets surviving in situ. Between the two plates are the forked spacers with an integral collared terminal projecting from the tapered end of the strap end. The terminal expands slightly to form a single collar, then expands before tapering to a point. The terminal has slightly convex upper and lower surfaces. Dark green patina.
