The coin has a floral edge. Obverse: Crowned arms, M/F at left, 8 at right; *PHILIP·V·D·G·HISPAN·ET IND·REX Reverse : Crowned globes flanked by crowned and bannered pillars ('PLVS' and 'VLTR') with royal crowns over water; *VTRAQUE VNUM* , *1739* below, between roses; the mint mark o / M is to left and right.
