HARNESS FITTING 806058

Description: An incomplete copper alloy possible Late Iron Age to Roman period terret. The terret is composed by an old broken circular shape loop. The loop measures 28.31mm in external diameter and 20.54mm in internal diameter. On the top of it a second but rectangular shape loop that is 18.86mm in length, 9.82mm in width and 3.59mm in thick. The terret is D-shape in cross section with a smooth and undecorated surface. It weighs 15.59g. The shape of the rectangular loop is slightly diffrent form the usual one known for Late Iron Age to Roman terret. Variations on the date range are possible.
