Description: A complete copper alloy trade weight of late medieval to post-medieval date. The weight is unifaced and circular in plan with a double circumferential grooved border. The upper surface is stamped with a crown at the 12 o'clock position and a flower at the 6 o'clock position. Similar examples are illustrated in Biggs, p.36 and are for weighing the Ryal The trade weight is 17.75mm in diameter, 4.05mm thick and weighs 6.51 grams.
