Description: An incomplete copper alloy single loop buckle and plate dating to AD 1250-1400. The majority of the buckle is missing, the loop is D shape and the strap bar is narrowed and recessed. The pin is incomplete. The buckle plate is is formed from a single sheet which has been folded widthways with a recess for the pin. Both sides of the buckle plate are undecorated. The plates have five perforations, one rivet is missing, four survive. The riverts have domed heads. The buckle and plate measures 32.04mm in length, 10.48mm in width, 5.60mm in thick and weights 3.35g.
