Description: An incomplete, medieval or post medieval buckle, probably dating to the 16th or 17th century. There is no tang. Only one loop remains complete, evidence of the other consisting of two stubs, which would have been the base of a second loop, broken off at an early date. The outer part of the hoop is thickened to take the tang. The buckle is heavily abraded. It is 16.66mm in length (including the two projecting stubs) and 19.39mm in width. It weighs 1.15g.
