Description: An incomplete post-medieval copper alloy (with high tin concentration, to give a silvery appearance) trapezoidal shoe or knee buckle frame, missing its separate drilled spindle, anchor chape and tongue. It measures 32.6x23.8mm (internal measurement 19.6x(min)9.1mm) and weighs 6.85g. The frame has a pair of moulded transverse grooves at either end for the pin rest, and incurved edges between with multiple transverse mouldings.
