Description: A incomplete post-medieval lead-alloy button, missing its integral shank and with some damage to the edges. It is circular in shape and flat in cross-section. The button is decorated to the front with a central pellet around which is a raised square outline. Projecting outwardly from each side of this is a pair of right-angle triangles, their diagonal edges facing each other. To the reverse is a stub of an integral shank (old break). The button measures 15.7mm in diameter, 3.5mm in thickess and weighs 2.17g.
