Description: An incomplete copper-alloy buckle plate of medieval date. The plate is rectangular and rectangular in cross section, the buckle is missing. The buckle plate is formed from a single piece of metal bent over the strap bar and back on itself, the reverse is missing. A slot has been cut in it to let the pin fit through. There is a single perforation which would have held the missing rivet. The plate is undecorated and corroded The plate is 27.95mm in length, 13.15mm wide, 1.2mm thick and weighs 1.29 grams.
