STRAP FITTING 726269
Description: A copper-alloy post-medieval strap-fitting (c. 17th century AD). The mount is sub-triangular in plan, terminating at the apex in a knop depicting an acorn. There is a broadly circular projection at the other, flattened end depicting a trefoil. On the reverse there are a pair of lugs, both are complete. The lower surface is otherwise flat and plain with a slight concavity at the centre.
The strap fitting is 30.3mm in length, 12.30mm wide, 6.05mm thick and weighs 2.14 grams.
