Description: A medieval copper alloy bar-mount from a belt with a perforated central and terminal lobes. The two terminal lobes are solid, each with a surviving separate copper alloy rivet, which extend out to the reverse, the reverse of the terminal lobes are concave. The central lobe is slightly concave to the reverse and domed to the front, with a band of abraded decoration probably horizontal grooves. Similarly decorated bar-mounts with central and terminal lobes from London date to the 13th and 14th century (Egan & Pritchard 1991 nos.1154-1162).
The mount is 19.5mm in length, 9.4mm wide, 3.65mm thick and weighs 1.44 grams.
