THIMBLE 724693
Description: A worn and squashed early post-medieval (1500-1700) copper-alloy thimble, standing 18.0mm in height and weighing 2.05g. The presumably punched rectangular pits begin in the centre of the top and continue in a spiral around the top and the walls of the thimble. The open end (now squashed shut) is flanked by a shallow groove. The open end measures 24.8mm in width.
