Description: An incomplete later medieval (1400-1500) copper alloy double-loop buckle frame with the stump of two projections to one side, missing its (possibly iron) pin and presumably most of the two projections. The frame is circular with a central bar dividing it into two loops, measuring internally c.9 x c.21mm. It is trapezoidal in cross-section and has traces of iron staining. The frame is D-shaped in cross-section. The remaining projection-stumps have a worn break to either end. The buckle measures 29.4mm in length, 28.4mm in width and weighs 4.58g.
