Description: A copper-alloy medieval to post-medieval (AD c1300-1500) possible buckle plate. The object is formed from a rectangular plate (0.7mm thick) with rounded terminals, which has been bent back on itself so that it now measures 30.85mm in length, 17.3mm in width, and 4.65mm in thickness. It weighs 3.69g. There is a single perforation on the reverse face, no perforation is visible on the front face. No recess for the pin bar is visible. The lack of a recess for the pin and the single perforation on one face makes the identification of this artefact as a buckle plate tentative.
