Description: Complete bronze looped socketed axe. Straight edge. Square-sectioned mouth with rounded corners. Prominent collar at mouth with horizontal moulded ridge below on all front and reverse sides. sides. Casting flashes on all seams. Most of the clay core has been removed, although some remains, especially at the top. L: 125.5 W. mouth: 33.5 B. mouth: 38 Socket dims.: 25 x 25 W. loop: 5-7. Part of a hoard of 68 Armorican socketed axeheads.
