CLOTH SEAL 572128

Description: A Post-Medieval two-part lead cloth seal of the late 17th/ 18th century, with slight wear and some corrosion. Measures c.26mm // 31x36mm and weighs 18.48g. R I privy mark, WAKEFIELD in an arc above // scratched Z960 above an incised horizontal line, and 3/ 1/12 scratched below. Scratched by another hand there appears to be C/M Reference: see SWYOR-22C214 which has the same stamp on the 1st disc though less clear than here. This probably the personal seal of a weaver, clothier or (?)searcher.
