Description: Complete bronze looped socketed axe. Rectangular-sectioned mouth with large socket. Upper edge slightly uneven. Prominent collar at mouth, with moulded horizontal ridge below on all sides. Straight blade. Side loop adjoining horizontal ridge. Casting flashes at seams. Small holes along one seam. L: 130 W. mouth: 31 B. mouth: 36.5 Socket dims.: 25-29 W. loop: 6.5. Part of a hoard of 68 Armorican socketed axeheads.
